The artist that I have chosen is Coosje van Bruggen. She was born in the Netherlands in 1942. A very interesting thing I find about her is that she actually has her degree in history not art. With this history degree she taught art history and fine arts at the Academy of Fine Arts. Her work inspires me because of the way she lays them with the land, she uses the surroundings of the piece to pull it together. I am drawn to her work because it not as realistic. I also like the size of her art, it's huge but still works with the land!
