Erik and Martin Demaine-found that origami wasn't just art but a form of math. Mathematical origami artwork by Erik and Martin Demaine was part of the Design and the Elastic Mind exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in 2008, and has been included in the MoMA permanent collection. Between the Folds is a 2008 film documentary about origami. Thomas C. Hull- Hull's 2006 book Project Origami uses origami to teach math. He has co-authored two non-math origami books: Origami, Plain and Simple and Russian Origami, and he is on the Board of Directors of OrigamiUSA (a national non-profit arts organization). Éric Joisel is a French origami artist who specialized in the wet-folding method, creating figurative art sculptures using sheets of paper and water, without the use of any adhesive or scissors. Satoshi Kamiya is among the most advanced origami masters in the world. He began the art at age two, and began seriously designing more advanced models in 1995, and has since made hundreds of origami models Robert J. Lang is an American physicist who is also one of the foremost origami artists and theorists in the world. He is known for his complex and elegant designs, most notably of insects and animals. He has studied the mathematics of origami and used computers to study the theories behind origami. He has made great advances in making real-world applications of origami to engineering problems
